Ingredients

- 1 cup corn starch
- 4 cups water
- 1 cup vegetable glycerin
- Food coloring (optional)
- Cookie cutters or molds
- Baking sheet
- Parchment paper
- Paintbrush
- String (for hanging)
Instructions
- In a large pot, combine 1 cup of corn starch and 4 cups of water. Add 1 cup of vegetable glycerin to the pot and stir continuously over medium heat until thickened.
- Remove from heat and add food coloring, mixing thoroughly.
- Spoon the thickened mixture into cookie cutters or molds placed on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, using a paintbrush to spread evenly.
- Allow the shapes to dry for 24-48 hours until completely firm, then gently remove from molds.
- Create a hole at the top of each suncatcher with a small hole punch and thread a piece of string for hanging.
Notes
Experiment with natural dyes and incorporate decorations like flower petals for unique designs. Use agar-agar for a vegan option.
