Description

Create stunning decorative suncatchers using eco-friendly bioplastic materials for a colorful addition to your space.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • Food coloring (optional)
  • Wax paper or parchment paper
  • Non-stick cooking spray
  • Cookie cutters or molds
  • String or fishing line (for hanging)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, mix cornstarch and water.
  2. Add vinegar and stir until combined.
  3. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring continuously until it thickens (around 5-10 minutes).
  4. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  5. Stir in food coloring until you reach your desired shade.
  6. Lightly spray wax or parchment paper with non-stick cooking spray.
  7. Pour or spoon the mixture onto the prepared paper, spreading it evenly.
  8. Use cookie cutters or molds to shape your suncatchers.
  9. Allow the suncatchers to dry for 24-48 hours until firm.
  10. Carefully peel them off the paper once dried.
  11. Make a small hole at the top for hanging using a toothpick.
  12. Thread string or fishing line through the hole.

Notes

Experiment with colors and shapes for unique designs. Consider adding glitter or dried flowers for extra flair.
