- Rolling pin
- Extra decorations (e.g., glitter, beads, twine for hanging)
Instructions
- In a cooking pot, combine corn starch, water, vinegar, and vegetable glycerin. Stir until well-blended, ensuring there are no lumps.
- Place the pot over medium heat and stir continuously as the mixture thickens (about 5-10 minutes). Remove from heat when it resembles dough.
- Transfer the bioplastic mixture to a clean surface to cool for 5-10 minutes.
- Roll out the mixture to about ¼ inch thick using a rolling pin. Use cookie cutters to make star shapes.
- Use a straw or skewer to punch a hole at the top of each star for hanging. Add decorations while still moist.
- Allow the ornaments to dry completely for 24-48 hours, until hardened.
Notes
