Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup baking soda
- 1/2 cup citric acid
- 1/2 cup Epsom salt
- 2 1/2 tablespoons oil (coconut, olive, or jojoba)
- 1 teaspoon essential oils (your choice)
- Food coloring (optional)
- Silicone molds or bath bomb molds
- Mixing bowl
- Whisk
Instructions
- Prepare Your Workspace: Make sure your workspace is clean and dry. Gather all materials to avoid interruptions.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the baking soda, citric acid, and Epsom salt. Use a whisk to break up any clumps, creating a fluffy consistency.
- Combine Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix the oil and essential oils. If using, add a few drops of food coloring.
- Combine Mixtures: Slowly drizzle the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring continuously. The mixture should begin to clump together.
- Pack into Molds: Firmly pack the mixture into molds. Overfill slightly to ensure they hold shape. Use your hands to press the mixture tightly.
- Let it Dry: Allow the molded bath bombs to dry for at least 24 hours. Once hardened, gently pop them out of the molds.
Notes
Store bath bombs in a cool, dry place for up to six months. Ensure your mixture is tightly packed in molds for the best results.
