Description

Create your own enchanting baking soda snow globe with simple materials and a touch of creativity.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 clear mason jar or glass container with a lid
  • 12 tablespoons baking soda
  • Water
  • Glitter (white or colorful)
  • Small figurines or decorations (like miniature trees, animals, or holiday-themed items)
  • Optional: Food coloring
  • Super glue or hot glue gun

Instructions

  1. Clean your mason jar thoroughly and dry it completely.
  2. Mix 1-2 tablespoons of baking soda with a bit of water to create a thick paste.
  3. Attach your selected figurines to the inside of the jar lid with super glue or hot glue.
  4. Spoon the baking soda mixture into the jar to create the snowy effect.
  5. Fill the jar with water until almost full, leaving a small gap at the top, and sprinkle in glitter.
  6. Secure the lid onto the jar and check for leaks by turning it upside down.
  7. Shake gently to see the snow swirl around your decorations!

Notes

For added sensory fun, consider using essential oils in the water for a lovely scent. You can also create a series of themed snow globes for various holidays or seasons.
