Description

Create your own DIY aroma stones for a natural air freshener that adds charm to your home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup baking soda
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Essential oils of your choice (lavender, eucalyptus, etc.)
  • Food coloring (optional)
  • Silicone molds or cookie cutters
  • Mixing bowl
  • Spoon or spatula
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper (if using cookie sheet)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the mixture by combining 1 cup of baking soda and 1/2 cup of cornstarch in a mixing bowl.
  2. Gradually add 1/2 cup of water to the dry ingredients while mixing with a spoon or spatula.
  3. Add 10-20 drops of your favorite essential oil to the smooth mixture. Adjust for scent strength preference.
  4. If desired, incorporate a few drops of food coloring for aesthetic appeal.
  5. Pour the mixture into silicone molds or shape it with cookie cutters on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. Allow the aroma stones to dry for 24-48 hours at room temperature or in a warm, dry area.
  7. Once hardened, carefully remove the stones from the molds and optionally add another drop of essential oil before use.

Notes

Experiment with different essential oil blends and consider adding dried flowers or herbs for texture.
