- 1 cup of water
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
- Dinosaur figurines (or other small objects)
- Baking sheet

Instructions
- Prepare Your Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of flour and 1 cup of salt. Add 1 cup of water and 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil. Stir until the mixture resembles a dough.
- Knead the Dough: Transfer the dough onto a clean surface and knead it for a few minutes until it smoothens out.
- Roll Out the Dough: Dust your surface lightly with flour and roll out the dough to about 1/2 inch thick.
- Make Fossil Impressions: Press your dinosaur figurines or small objects into the dough to create fossil impressions.
- Bake the Fossils: Preheat your oven to 200°F (95°C), place the fossil impressions on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and bake for 2-3 hours until hard and dry.
- Cool and Paint (Optional): Let your fossils cool completely and paint them with acrylic paints for a fun finish!
Notes
Swap out flour for alternative recipes like baking soda and cornstarch for different textures. All materials are non-toxic but adult supervision is recommended during the baking process.
