Description

Create fun and colorful dinosaur eggs using baking soda and vinegar for a hands-on science and art activity!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup baking soda
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 teaspoons vinegar
  • Food coloring (various colors)
  • Small dinosaur figurines (plastic)
  • Mixing bowl
  • Muffin tin or egg carton for molding
  • Paper towels for cleanup

Instructions

  1. Mix the baking soda and water in a mixing bowl until combined.
  2. Add food coloring to divide mixtures in separate bowls if using multiple colors.
  3. Mold the colored mixture firmly into the muffin tin or egg carton, pressing down to create indents.
  4. Allow the molds to sit for 24 hours at room temperature until completely dry.
  5. Hatch the eggs by pouring vinegar over them in a shallow dish to reveal the dinosaur inside!

Notes

For variation, customize colors, use different shapes with cookie cutters, or add glitter for sparkle.
