Description

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup of uncooked rice
  • 2 cups of water
  • 2 tablespoons of baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon of vinegar
  • A clear glass or plastic container
  • Food coloring (optional)
  • A stirring stick or spoon

Instructions

  1. Measure out 1 cup of uncooked rice and rinse under cold water.
  2. In a clear container, mix 2 tablespoons of baking soda with 2 cups of water and add food coloring if desired.
  3. Carefully add the rinsed rice to the container.
  4. Slowly add 1 teaspoon of vinegar to witness the rice dance as the chemical reaction occurs.
