Description
Create a whimsical and eco-friendly pop bottle firefly to brighten up your home decor.
Ingredients
- Empty plastic pop bottle
- LED tea light or fairy lights
- Acrylic paints (various colors)
- Paintbrushes
- Scissors
- Hot glue gun (or strong adhesive)
- Decorative materials (glitter, stickers, washi tape)
- Optional: small pebbles or sand (for weight)
Instructions
- Remove the label from the plastic bottle and clean it thoroughly. Cut the bottle to your desired height, usually about one-third from the bottom.
- Use a paintbrush to apply acrylic paint to the exterior of the bottle. Experiment with different colors and patterns. Allow the paint to dry completely.
- Place an LED tea light or fairy lights inside the painted bottle.
- If your bottle has a cap, you may decorate it as well and secure it back on. Ensure the light source is easily accessible for turning on/off.
- Add decorative materials such as glitter or stickers to enhance the firefly effect. If using sand or pebbles, place them at the bottom for added stability.
