Ingredients

- 1 cup baking soda
- 1 cup water
- Food coloring (optional)
- Various colors of pipe cleaners
- Small bowls or containers
- Cardboard base
- Cooking pot
- Spoon
- Parchment paper
Instructions
- Shape the pipe cleaners into various structures (houses, trees, etc.) and dip them into warm, soapy water. Let them dry on parchment paper.
- In a cooking pot, heat 1 cup of water until it begins to simmer. Gradually add 1 cup of baking soda while stirring continuously. Optionally, mix in food coloring.
- Carefully submerge your shaped pipe cleaners into the hot mixture and allow them to soak for 12-24 hours to absorb the crystal-forming solution.
- After soaking, remove your creations and place them on parchment paper to dry. Once dry, arrange them on your cardboard base to create your village layout.
Notes
Experiment with different colors and materials for unique effects. Adult supervision is recommended for handling hot water.
