Ingredients

- 1 cup of hot water
- 3 tablespoons of Borax
- A small branch or tree structure (like a pipe cleaner or cardboard)
- Food coloring (optional, for colored crystals)
- A glass jar or container
- Spoon for stirring
- Optional: gloves for handling Borax
Instructions
- Boil 1 cup of water and pour it into a glass jar.
- Add 3 tablespoons of Borax to the hot water and stir until fully dissolved.
- If desired, add a few drops of food coloring and stir carefully.
- Place the small branch or tree structure upright in the jar.
- Pour the Borax solution into the jar until the tree is submerged.
- Allow the jar to sit undisturbed for 24 hours to see crystals form.
- After 24 hours, carefully remove the tree and observe the beautiful crystals that have formed.
