Ingredients

- Green pipe cleaners (for leaves)
- Brown pipe cleaners (for trunk)
- 1 cup borax
- 3 cups water
- Large glass jar
- String or fishing line
- Scissors
- Optional: Food coloring
Instructions
- Twist the brown pipe cleaner into a trunk shape, adding green pipe cleaners for branches and leaves.
- Boil 3 cups of water in a pot, then add 1 cup of borax while stirring until fully dissolved.
- Add food coloring if desired.
- Hang the tree in the glass jar with string or fishing line and pour in the borax solution until submerged.
- Let sit undisturbed for at least 6 hours or overnight.
- Carefully remove the tree, let it dry, and display.

Experiment with tree shapes and sizes, and use glitter for extra sparkle.
