Instructions
- Shape the white pipe cleaners into a snowman form by creating a large ball for the body and a smaller one for the head, then twist them together to secure.
- In a bowl, mix 1 cup of hot water with 3 tablespoons of borax and stir until fully dissolved.
- Attach a piece of string around the snowman’s head, then secure the other end to a pencil or stick that will rest across the mouth of the jar.
- Carefully place the snowman into the borax solution, ensuring it hangs without touching the bottom.
- Leave the jar undisturbed in a cool location for 6-12 hours to allow crystals to form.
- Once crystals have formed, gently remove the snowman and let it dry on a cookie sheet. Decorate as desired.
Notes
You can add food coloring to create colorful crystals. Consider creating different winter figures using various pipe cleaner shapes.
