Ingredients
- Clear plastic hearts (or silicone molds)
- Liquid resin
- Resin pigments (in various colors)
- Glitter (optional)
- Mixing cups and stir sticks
- Gloves
- Craft knife (for finishing touches)
- Sandpaper (fine grit)
- String or ribbon (for hanging)
Instructions
- Prepare your workspace, clearing a flat, well-ventilated surface and laying down protective covering.
- Mix the resin by putting on gloves, combining the liquid resin and hardener in a mixing cup, and stirring thoroughly for about 3–5 minutes.
- Add color and glitter by pouring in a few drops of resin pigment and stirring in glitter if desired.
- Pour the colored resin mixture into the plastic heart molds, filling them halfway and being mindful to avoid overfilling.
- Let the resin cure according to package instructions, typically 24 hours for full hardness, covering to prevent dust.
- Demold the cured hearts gently from the molds and use a craft knife to trim imperfections and sand down edges.
- Attach a piece of string or ribbon at the top of the heart for hanging.
