  • 1 measuring spoon
  • Optional: Food coloring

Instructions

  1. Bend the pipe cleaners to form a tree structure.
  2. Attach your tree shape to a stick for stability.
  3. Boil 2 cups of water in a pot.
  4. Add 1 cup of borax to the boiling water while stirring until dissolved.
  5. Add food coloring if desired.
  6. Pour the solution into the jar to submerge the tree base.
  7. Place the tree in the jar carefully.
  8. Let the jar sit undisturbed to cool.
  9. Wait for crystals to form, typically within a few hours to overnight.
