- Egg-shaped balloons (or plastic egg shells)
- 1 cup hot water
- 2 cups Epsom salt or alum
- Food coloring or liquid dye
- Adhesive craft glue
- Glitter (optional)
- Mixing bowl

- Wax paper or tray for drying
Instructions
- Inflate your balloon or prepare plastic egg shells as a base.
- In a mixing bowl, combine hot water with Epsom salt or alum and stir until dissolved. Add food coloring.
- Pour the crystal solution over the egg, ensuring it coats the surface. Optionally add glitter.
- Place on wax paper or a tray to dry for 12-24 hours.
- Once dry, pop the balloon and admire your beautiful geode egg.
Notes
Experiment with different colors and shapes for unique designs. Preserve your eggs with a light layer of clear acrylic sealer.
