Description

A delightful craft project to create stunning crystal butterflies using basic materials.


Ingredients

  • Pipe cleaners (any color)
  • Borax powder (1/4 cup per butterfly)
  • Water (2 cups)
  • Glass container (like a jar or bowl)
  • String (for hanging)
  • Scissors
  • Optional: Food coloring or glitter for added flair

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pipe cleaners into a butterfly form.
  2. Create the Borax solution by boiling 2 cups of water and dissolving 1/4 cup of Borax.
  3. Add food coloring to the Borax solution for color (optional).
  4. Immerse the butterflies in the Borax solution using a string.
  5. Let the container sit for 6-12 hours for crystals to form.
  6. Remove the butterfly and let it dry on a paper towel.
  7. Display your colorful creations using string or a stand.

Notes

Customize colors and shapes for unique designs. Use Epsom salt as an alternative to Borax.
