Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, and cream of tartar. Mix well.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together water and vegetable oil. Add food coloring if desired.
- Pour wet ingredients into dry mixture; transfer to saucepan and cook over medium heat while stirring continuously until thickened.
- Remove from heat and let it cool slightly. Knead until smooth when safe to touch.
