Description

A heartfelt recipe for a comforting Peach Cobbler, celebrating summer and family ties with sweet, juicy peaches and a buttery crust.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the sliced peaches, sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and cornstarch in a large bowl. Mix until well coated.
  3. Pour the peach mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  4. In a medium bowl, combine flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder.
  5. Add the melted butter and milk, stirring until just combined.
  6. Spoon the batter over the peach filling. It will look uneven, but it will spread while baking.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the peaches are bubbling.
  8. Cool for at least 10 minutes before serving to let the filling set.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg or ginger. Substitute with almond milk and coconut oil for a dairy-free option.
