Ingredients

  • Broken crayons (variety of colors)
  • Muffin tin or silicone mold
  • Oven or toaster oven
  • Parchment paper (optional)
  • String or fishing line for hanging (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C) and ensure your baking space is well-ventilated.
  2. Remove wrappers from the broken crayons and break larger pieces into smaller chunks.
  3. Place crayon pieces in the muffin tin or silicone mold, mixing colors for unique designs or keeping them separate.
  4. Carefully place the filled molds in the preheated oven and bake for about 10-15 minutes until fully melted.
  5. Remove the molds from the oven and allow them to cool for about 30 minutes until solid.
  6. Pop the suncatchers out of the molds and attach string or fishing line for hanging. Display in a sunny spot!

Notes

For marbled effects, mix different colors. Consider adding glitter or using various molds for unique shapes.
