Ingredients
- Crayons (broken or new in various colors)
- Wax paper
- Iron
- Parchment paper
- Scissors
- Star-shaped cookie cutter or template
- String or ribbon (for hanging)
Instructions
- Peel the crayons to remove any paper wrappers.
- Shave the crayons into small flakes using a sharpener or knife.
- Place a piece of wax paper on a flat surface.
- Scatter crayon shavings on one half of the wax paper.
- Carefully fold the wax paper over the crayon shavings.
- Cover with a piece of parchment paper to protect your iron.
- Set the iron to a low heat setting and gently press it over the parchment paper.
- Keep an eye on the crayon shavings as they melt into beautiful patterns.
- Once melted, allow the wax paper to cool for a few minutes.
- Use a star-shaped cookie cutter or template to cut out star shapes from the melted crayon sheet.
- Use scissors to poke a hole at the top of each star.
- Thread string or ribbon through the hole for hanging.
