Description

Create beautiful and colorful sun catchers using melted crayon stars. A fun and eco-friendly craft project perfect for all ages.

Ingredients

  • Old crayons (any colors you like)
  • Silicone star-shaped molds
  • Baking sheet
  • Oven
  • Parchment paper (optional)
  • Ribbon or string (for hanging)
  • Optional: Window cleaner (for prepping surfaces)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 250°F (120°C).
  2. Remove wrappers and break crayons into small pieces, about 1-inch long.
  3. Place silicone molds on a baking sheet and fill each mold with crayon pieces.
  4. Melt crayons in the oven for 10-15 minutes until fully liquid.
  5. Remove from oven and let cool for 10-15 minutes before popping out the stars.
  6. Attach a ribbon or string for hanging using a hole punch or hot glue.

Notes

Customize your stars by layering different colors or adding glitter. Silicone molds work best for easy removal.
