Description
Create vibrant and colorful sun catchers using old crayons, adding a splash of color to your living space.
Ingredients
- Old crayons (various colors)
- Wax paper
- An iron
- Scissors
- Craft knife (optional)
- A sheet of black cardstock (optional for the moon outline)
- Pencil (optional for tracing)
- Window hangers or tape
Instructions
- Remove wrappers from old crayons and break them into small pieces (about 1-inch long). Sort by color.
- Lay a piece of wax paper on a flat, heat-resistant surface.
- Arrange crayon pieces on the wax paper in your desired design, keeping them spaced apart.
- Cover with another piece of wax paper and use the iron on low to gently melt the crayon pieces, moving in circular motions.
- Allow to cool, then carefully peel the top sheet off and cut out desired shapes.
- Use window hangers or tape to attach your sun catcher to your window.
