Description

Create vibrant and colorful sun catchers using old crayons, adding a splash of color to your living space.

Ingredients

  • Old crayons (various colors)
  • Wax paper
  • An iron
  • Scissors
  • Craft knife (optional)
  • A sheet of black cardstock (optional for the moon outline)
  • Pencil (optional for tracing)
  • Window hangers or tape

Instructions

  1. Remove wrappers from old crayons and break them into small pieces (about 1-inch long). Sort by color.
  2. Lay a piece of wax paper on a flat, heat-resistant surface.
  3. Arrange crayon pieces on the wax paper in your desired design, keeping them spaced apart.
  4. Cover with another piece of wax paper and use the iron on low to gently melt the crayon pieces, moving in circular motions.
  5. Allow to cool, then carefully peel the top sheet off and cut out desired shapes.
  6. Use window hangers or tape to attach your sun catcher to your window.

Notes
