Description

Create vibrant and colorful sun catchers using old crayons and simple materials for a delightful crafting experience.


Ingredients

  • Old crayons (various colors)
  • Heart-shaped cookie cutter or silicone mold
  • Wax paper or parchment paper
  • Baking sheet
  • Oven
  • Parchment paper towel (for cooling)
  • String or ribbon (for hanging)

Instructions

  1. Peel the wrappers off the crayons.
  2. Break the crayons into small pieces (about 1-inch).
  3. Preheat the oven to 200°F (93°C).
  4. Line the baking sheet with wax or parchment paper.
  5. Place the cookie cutter or mold on the lined baking sheet and fill with crayon pieces.
  6. Bake for 10–15 minutes until melted.
  7. Remove from oven and cool for about 30 minutes.
  8. Pop the solid crayon hearts out of the molds.
  9. Add a string or ribbon for hanging if desired.
