- 4 large eggs
- 1 pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
- 1/2 cup milk or cream
- Salt and pepper to taste

- Optional: shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or parmesan)
- Optional: fresh herbs (parsley, dill, or thyme)
- Optional: cooked protein (chicken, turkey, or smoked salmon)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare the pie crust in a pie dish and prick the base with a fork.
- Chill the crust while preparing the filling.
- Sauté any vegetables you are using to remove excess moisture.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cottage cheese, eggs, milk (or cream), and seasonings. Whisk until well blended.
- Layer sautéed vegetables and optional proteins or cheese in the pie crust.
- Pour the egg mixture over the layered ingredients.
- Sprinkle fresh herbs or additional cheese on top.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the center is set but slightly wobbly.
- Allow to cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
You can make this quiche crustless for a lower-carb option. Consider freezing leftovers for later.
