Description

A simple, safe, and fun sensory play dough that resembles snow, perfect for creative play with kids.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cornstarch
  • 1 cup baking soda
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon essential oils (optional for fragrance)
  • Food coloring (optional)
  • Mixing bowl
  • Spoon or spatula
  • Airtight container for storage

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of cornstarch and 1 cup of baking soda. Stir until well blended.
  2. Gradually add 1 1/2 cups of water to the dry mixture, stirring continuously to prevent lumps.
  3. If desired, add a teaspoon of essential oils and a few drops of food coloring. Mix thoroughly.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly until it thickens (about 3-5 minutes).
  5. Once thickened, remove from heat, allow to cool, then knead gently until you reach your desired consistency.

Notes

For added fun, mix in glitter during cooking. Experiment with different essential oils for fragrance.
