- 1 cup cornstarch
- 1 cup baking soda
- ¾ cup water
- Food coloring (various colors)
- Glitter (silver, gold, or holiday-themed)
- Mixing bowl
- Cooking pot
- Wax paper or parchment paper
- Rolling pin
- Cookie cutters (optional)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine cornstarch and baking soda. Gradually add water while stirring until smooth.
- Pour the mixture into a cooking pot and heat on medium. Stir continuously until the dough thickens, about 3-5 minutes.
- Transfer the dough to a clean surface or bowl to cool completely.
- Divide the dough into smaller portions for coloring.
- Add a few drops of food coloring to each portion and knead until evenly distributed.
- Take small pieces of each color and gently twist them together to create a marbled effect.
- Sprinkle glitter on top of the marbled dough and press gently to ensure it sticks.
- Use a rolling pin to flatten the dough to your desired thickness.
- Cut out shapes using cookie cutters.
- Place cut shapes on wax paper and let them air dry for 24-48 hours to harden.
Notes
You can experiment with different types of glitter and add essential oils for fragrance.
