Description

A fun and easy-to-make cornstarch marbled dough perfect for festive decorations and creative crafts during the holiday season.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup cornstarch
  • 1 cup baking soda
  • ¾ cup water
  • Food coloring (various colors)
  • Glitter (silver, gold, or holiday-themed)
  • Mixing bowl
  • Cooking pot
  • Wax paper or parchment paper
  • Rolling pin
  • Cookie cutters (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine cornstarch and baking soda. Gradually add water while stirring until smooth.
  2. Pour the mixture into a cooking pot and heat on medium. Stir continuously until the dough thickens, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Transfer the dough to a clean surface or bowl to cool completely.
  4. Divide the dough into smaller portions for coloring.
  5. Add a few drops of food coloring to each portion and knead until evenly distributed.
  6. Take small pieces of each color and gently twist them together to create a marbled effect.
  7. Sprinkle glitter on top of the marbled dough and press gently to ensure it sticks.
  8. Use a rolling pin to flatten the dough to your desired thickness.
  9. Cut out shapes using cookie cutters.
  10. Place cut shapes on wax paper and let them air dry for 24-48 hours to harden.
