- 1/2 cup baking soda
- 1 cup vinegar
- Food coloring (various colors)
- 1 tablespoon dish soap
- A container or plastic bottle (for the volcano)
- Tray or plastic sheet (to catch the overflow)
- Optional: decorations (e.g., clay or Play-Doh for shaping the volcano)
Instructions
- Prepare your volcano shape by molding clay or Play-Doh around the bottle to create a mountain.
- Set up your eruption station on a tray or plastic sheet.
- Add 1/2 cup of baking soda into the top of your volcano.
- In a bowl, mix 1 cup of vinegar with 1 tablespoon of dish soap and food coloring.
- Pour the vinegar mixture into the volcano and watch the eruption!
Notes
Feel free to experiment with different colors and shapes for a unique eruption experience. Use glitter for an added magical touch.
