Description

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup baking soda
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • Food coloring (various colors)
  • 1 tablespoon dish soap
  • A container or plastic bottle (for the volcano)
  • Tray or plastic sheet (to catch the overflow)
  • Optional: decorations (e.g., clay or Play-Doh for shaping the volcano)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your volcano shape by molding clay or Play-Doh around the bottle to create a mountain.
  2. Set up your eruption station on a tray or plastic sheet.
  3. Add 1/2 cup of baking soda into the top of your volcano.
  4. In a bowl, mix 1 cup of vinegar with 1 tablespoon of dish soap and food coloring.
  5. Pour the vinegar mixture into the volcano and watch the eruption!
