Description

Delightful candy apples with a vibrant glow, perfect for parties and celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 medium-sized apples (preferably Granny Smith)
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 1 cup water
  • Candy food coloring (various colors)
  • Lollipop sticks or wooden skewers
  • Silicone baking mat or parchment paper
  • Optional: edible glitter or sprinkles for decoration
  • Optional: flavor extracts (like vanilla or cinnamon)

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the apples thoroughly to remove any wax.
  2. Insert a lollipop stick into the top of each apple, ensuring it’s secure.
  3. In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar, corn syrup, and water.
  4. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
  5. Once boiling, stop stirring and let it reach the hard crack stage (about 300°F or 150°C).
  6. Once the desired temperature is reached, remove from heat.
  7. Divide the candy mixture into separate bowls if using multiple colors.
  8. Add a few drops of candy food coloring to each bowl until you achieve your desired brightness.
  9. Stir gently to incorporate the color without losing the glossy finish.
  10. Quickly dip each apple into the colored candy mixture, swirling until fully coated.
  11. Allow excess candy to drip off before placing them on a silicone mat or parchment paper.
  12. If using edible glitter or sprinkles, sprinkle them on while the candy is still wet.
  13. Allow the candy apples to cool completely at room temperature.
  14. Once cooled, they’re ready to glow and impress!
