Description

Craft colorful butterflies using coffee filters, markers, and pipe cleaners in this fun and easy DIY project.


Ingredients

  • Coffee filters
  • Washable markers or food coloring
  • Spray bottle with water
  • Pipe cleaners
  • Scissors
  • Optional: decorative glitter or small sequins

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Coffee Filter: Start with one or two coffee filters stacked on top of each other and flatten them out on a table.
  2. Color the Filters: Draw vibrant designs with washable markers on the filters, using different colors and patterns.
  3. Moisten the Filters: Fill a spray bottle with water and lightly spray the colored filters to blend the colors, making sure not to soak them.
  4. Drying Process: Allow the filters to dry completely, or speed it up with a hairdryer on low heat.
  5. Shape Your Butterfly: Pinch the center of the dried filter and secure it with a pipe cleaner to form the body and wings.
  6. Finishing Touches: Fluff the wings and optionally add glitter or sequins for extra flair.
