Description

Create vibrant bouncy balls for a fun and educational 4th of July craft, combining science and play.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup of white school glue
  • 1/4 cup of warm water
  • 1/2 teaspoon of borax
  • 1/2 cup of cornstarch
  • Food coloring (red, white, and blue)
  • Mixing bowl
  • Spoon for mixing
  • Plastic gloves (optional)
  • Measuring cups

Instructions

  1. In a separate bowl, mix 1/2 teaspoon of borax with 1/4 cup of warm water until dissolved.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine 1/2 cup of white school glue with 1/2 cup of cornstarch and stir until smooth.
  3. Slowly stir the borax solution into the glue mixture until thickened.
  4. Add a few drops of food coloring and mix to create a marbled effect.
  5. Use your hands to knead the mixture until rubbery.
  6. Roll the mixture into small balls.
  7. Allow the balls to dry on a paper towel or plate for a few hours.

Notes
