Instructions
- Combine dry ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and cream of tartar. Stir well to ensure everything is evenly mixed.
- Add wet ingredients: In a separate pot, mix the water and vegetable oil. Add food coloring to the water based on your desired colors. Use more for brighter hues!
- Heat mixture: Pour the wet ingredients into the pot with the dry ingredients. Cook over medium heat, continually stirring with a spoon until the mixture thickens and begins to pull away from the sides of the pot.
- Knead the dough: Once the dough has formed, remove it from the heat and let it cool slightly. When cool enough to handle, knead the dough with your hands until it’s smooth and elastic.
- Store properly: Place your colorful bouncing dough in an airtight container to keep it fresh and ready for future play.
