Description

A fun and easy recipe to create colorful bouncing dough that engages kids’ senses and encourages imaginative play.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup of flour
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • 1/4 cup of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of cream of tartar
  • 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
  • Food coloring (various colors)
  • A mixing bowl
  • A pot for cooking
  • A whisk or spoon for mixing

Instructions

  1. Combine the flour, salt, and cream of tartar in a mixing bowl.
  2. Mix the water, vegetable oil, and a few drops of food coloring in a separate pot.
  3. Heat the mixture on medium heat and gradually add the dry ingredients while stirring continuously.
  4. Stir until the dough pulls away from the sides of the pot, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Cool the dough slightly, then knead on a clean surface until soft and smooth.
  6. Create and play with your colorful dough!

Notes

Store the dough in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two weeks. You can also experiment with natural food coloring or add scents like essential oils.
