Description

A fun and easy clear slime recipe perfect for sensory play and customization.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup clear school glue (like Elmer’s)
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon contact lens solution (containing boric acid)
  • Food coloring or glitter (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Workspace: Clear a flat surface and gather all materials. Cover your workspace with newspaper or a plastic sheet for easy cleanup.
  2. Mix Glue and Water: In a mixing bowl, pour in 1 cup of clear school glue. Add 1 cup of warm water to the glue. Stir gently until combined.
  3. Add Baking Soda: Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of baking soda into the mixture. Stir thoroughly until the baking soda is fully dissolved.
  4. Incorporate Contact Lens Solution: Slowly add 1 tablespoon of contact lens solution while stirring. The slime will begin to clump together and pull away from the sides of the bowl.
  5. Knead the Slime: Once the mixture forms a cohesive mass, take it out and knead it with your hands until smooth and no longer sticky.
  6. Customize Your Slime: If desired, add food coloring or glitter and knead until evenly distributed.

Notes

You can add a drop or two of essential oil for scented slime. Experiment with different add-ins for variety.
