Description

Create colorful suncatchers using clear glue and vibrant materials, perfect for all ages.

Ingredients

  • Clear school glue
  • Food coloring or liquid watercolors
  • Wax paper or plastic sheet
  • Scissors
  • Pipe cleaners (optional, for hanging)
  • Paintbrush or sponge (for spreading glue)
  • Small objects (glitter, beads, or dried flowers for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your workspace by laying down newspaper or a tablecloth.
  2. Cut a piece of wax paper or plastic sheet to your desired suncatcher size.
  3. Mix clear glue with food coloring or liquid watercolors in a small bowl.
  4. Spread a thin, even layer of colored glue onto the wax paper base using a paintbrush or sponge.
  5. Sprinkle tiny objects like glitter, beads, or dried flowers onto the wet glue and press them gently down.
  6. Allow your suncatcher to dry for at least 24 hours.
  7. Once dry, carefully peel the suncatcher from wax paper and cut it into your desired shape.
  8. Use a pipe cleaner to make a hanging loop or tape your suncatcher to a sunny window.

Notes

For a marbled effect, swirl two colors together before applying them. Use cookie cutters for fun shapes.
