Description
A delightful craft project to create vibrant suncatchers using clear glue and assorted flower cutouts.
Ingredients
- Clear school glue
- Parchment paper or wax paper
- Assorted flower and leaf cutouts (real or artificial)
- Scissors
- Disposable plate (for glue)
- Paintbrush (optional, for spreading glue)
- Glitter or sequins (optional for extra sparkle)
- String or ribbon (for hanging)
Instructions
- Prepare Your Workspace: Clear a flat surface and lay down some newspaper or plastic to protect the area. Gather all materials, ensuring everything is within reach.
- Create the Base: Lay a sheet of parchment or wax paper flat on your surface. Pour a generous amount of clear glue onto a disposable plate.
- Arrange Your Flowers: Start placing your flower and leaf cutouts on the parchment, overlapping and layering for a dynamic look.
- Apply the Glue: Use a paintbrush or your fingers to spread glue over the flower cutouts. Ensure flowers are completely covered; the glue will dry clear.
- Add Sparkle (Optional): Sprinkle glitter or place sequins on top of the wet glue for added shimmer.
- Let it Dry: Allow the suncatcher to dry completely; this may take a few hours or overnight. Once dry, gently peel it off the parchment paper.
- Add a Hanging Mechanism: Cut a piece of string or ribbon, and attach it to the top of your suncatcher for hanging.
