A fun and easy DIY project to create your own personalized Christmas tree using recyclable materials.
Ingredients
- Green cardstock or construction paper
- Scissors
- Glue or tape
- Decorative items (glitter, beads, stickers, etc.)
- Star or ornament for the tree top
- Ruler
- Pencil
Instructions
- Prepare the Tree Base: Measure and draw a triangle on the green cardstock, approximately 12 inches high. Cut out the triangle shape with scissors.
- Create Tree Layers: Cut smaller triangles from cardstock in varying shades of green to layer on top of each other.
- Assemble the Tree: Glue or tape the smaller triangles onto the larger base triangle, overlapping them slightly.
- Decorate the Tree: Add decorative items like glitter and beads, and place a star at the top.
- Finish Up: Optionally place the tree on a small square of cardboard or a decorative plate. Allow glue to dry completely before displaying.
Notes
Experiment with different materials and colors for a unique look. Consider using string lights for larger trees.
