Description

A fun and easy DIY project to create your own personalized Christmas tree using recyclable materials.

Ingredients

  • Green cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue or tape
  • Decorative items (glitter, beads, stickers, etc.)
  • Star or ornament for the tree top
  • Ruler
  • Pencil

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Tree Base: Measure and draw a triangle on the green cardstock, approximately 12 inches high. Cut out the triangle shape with scissors.
  2. Create Tree Layers: Cut smaller triangles from cardstock in varying shades of green to layer on top of each other.
  3. Assemble the Tree: Glue or tape the smaller triangles onto the larger base triangle, overlapping them slightly.
  4. Decorate the Tree: Add decorative items like glitter and beads, and place a star at the top.
  5. Finish Up: Optionally place the tree on a small square of cardboard or a decorative plate. Allow glue to dry completely before displaying.

Notes

Experiment with different materials and colors for a unique look. Consider using string lights for larger trees.
