Description

Decadent chocolate chip walnut cookies with a perfect blend of chewy and crunchy textures.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy (about 3-4 minutes).
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spaced 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden and the centers remain soft.
  9. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For thicker cookies, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking. Customize with different chocolate types or nuts.
