			- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy (about 3-4 minutes).
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spaced 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden and the centers remain soft.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For thicker cookies, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking. Customize with different chocolate types or nuts.
