Ingredients
- Baking soda
- Vinegar
- Small plastic film canisters or similar containers with tight-fitting lids
- Chalk (colored for added fun)
- Measuring spoon
- Paper towel or tissue (optional, for neatness)
- Safety goggles (recommended for eye protection)
Instructions
- Crush the chalk into small pieces to create a fine powder.
- Add 1-2 tablespoons of baking soda into the canister using a measuring spoon.
- Mix the crushed chalk with the baking soda in the canister.
- Measure 2-3 tablespoons of vinegar in a separate container.
- Quickly pour the vinegar into the canister with the baking soda and chalk mixture, then seal the lid tightly.
- Place the canister lid side down on the ground, step back, and watch your rocket soar!
Notes
Always wear safety goggles to protect your eyes during the reaction. Adult supervision is recommended, especially for younger children.
