Ingredients
Scale
- 1 empty cardboard toilet paper tube
- Colored markers or paints
- Craft scissors
- Googly eyes (optional)
- Glue or a glue stick
- Printable dragonfly template (optional)
- Pipe cleaners (for antennae, optional)
- Glitter (optional)
Instructions
- Cut the cardboard tube into two segments, one about 4 inches long for the body and a smaller piece for the head if desired.
- Use markers or paint to decorate your tube with vibrant colors or patterns.
- If using, glue googly eyes to the head section.
- Cut out two wing shapes from the remaining cardboard or colored paper.
- Paint or color the wings to match or contrast with the body.
- Glue the wings to the back of the body tube.
- Cut two lengths of pipe cleaners, twist them together, and glue or poke them into the top of the head for antennae.
Notes
Consider creating a mobile or incorporating nature elements for enhancement. Make the project easier for younger children by pre-cutting materials.
