Description

Delightful candied kiwi bites with a sweet and tangy flavor, perfect for snacking or dessert decoration.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 45 Fresh kiwis
  • 2 cups Granulated sugar
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper

Instructions

  1. Prepare the kiwis by peeling and slicing them into thin rounds, about ¼ inch thick.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, water, and lemon juice. Heat on medium and stir until the sugar dissolves, then bring to a gentle simmer.
  3. Add the kiwi slices to the syrup and simmer for 10-15 minutes until tender but still holding their shape.
  4. Using a slotted spoon, transfer the kiwi slices to a lined baking sheet to cool and dry for several hours or overnight.
  5. Optionally, sprinkle granulated sugar on the dried kiwi slices before storing them in an airtight container.

Notes

Experiment with spices or other fruits for unique flavors.
