Description

Create a colorful butterfly suncatcher that brightens up your space and encourages creativity. Perfect for all ages!

Ingredients

  • Clear plastic sheets or transparency film
  • Permanent markers or tissue paper
  • Scissors
  • Craft glue or Mod Podge
  • Paintbrush (if using Mod Podge)
  • Black construction paper (for outline)
  • Hole punch
  • Fishing line or string (for hanging)

Instructions

  1. Cut the clear plastic sheets into desired butterfly shapes or use a template.
  2. Cut butterfly outlines from black construction paper and glue them onto the plastic base.
  3. Using permanent markers, color the wings in vibrant shades or apply pieces of brightly colored tissue paper.
  4. If using tissue paper, apply a thin layer of Mod Podge over the tissue paper to protect it and give it a glossy finish.
  5. Use a hole punch to create a hole at the top of the butterfly.
  6. Cut a piece of fishing line or string, thread it through the hole, and tie a knot to create a hanger.

Notes

For best results, display your suncatcher in a sunny window. Consider adding glitter or experimenting with colors.
