Ingredients
- Clear contact paper (self-adhesive)
- Colored tissue paper or cellophane
- Scissors
- Pencil
- Black marker (optional)
- Optional decorative elements: glitter, sequins, or beads
- String or fishing line (for hanging)
Instructions
- Design Your Butterfly: Use a pencil to outline a butterfly shape on a piece of paper.
- Cut Out the Wings: Cut out the butterfly shape and place the template onto a piece of contact paper, tracing around it.
- Prepare the Contact Paper: Peel the backing off the contact paper gently and lay it sticky side up.
- Cut Tissue Paper: Cut colored tissue paper or cellophane into small shapes or squares.
- Fill in the Design: Place the colorful tissue pieces onto the sticky side of the contact paper.
- Seal Your Suncatcher: Place another piece of contact paper over the filled design, sticky side down.
- Cut the Suncatcher: Carefully cut around the butterfly shape, leaving a small border.
- Add Hanging String: Punch a small hole at the top and thread a piece of string or fishing line through it.
