Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tablespoon of glue (white or clear)
  • 1 teaspoon of water
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon of corn starch
  • Food coloring (optional)
  • Mixing bowl
  • Spoon
  • Plastic gloves (optional for cleanup)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine 1 tablespoon of glue with 1 teaspoon of water. Stir well until fully blended.
  2. Add color (optional): If you want a colorful bouncy ball, add a few drops of food coloring to the glue mixture. Use a spoon to mix it in thoroughly.
  3. Mix dry ingredients: In another small bowl, combine 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda and 1 teaspoon of corn starch.
  4. Combine the mixtures: Slowly add the dry ingredients to the glue mixture while stirring quickly. You’ll notice it starts to thicken and become more solid.
  5. Form the ball: Once the mixture holds together, use your hands (or plastic gloves) to knead it into a ball. Make sure it’s tightly packed to enhance its bouncing ability.
  6. Let it set: Allow your bouncy ball to rest for a few minutes. The more time you give it, the firmer it will become!

Notes

For a tie-dye effect, use multiple food colors. You can substitute glue with a clear silicone adhesive for a different texture. Adding glitter can enhance the look of your bouncy balls.
