Ingredients
- Borax powder
- Pipe cleaners (variety of colors)
- A heat-safe glass jar or container
- Boiling water
- String or fishing line (optional)
- Pencil or chopstick
- Food coloring (optional)
Instructions
- Shape the pipe cleaners into flower shapes.
- Tie a piece of string around the base of the flowers.
- Boil water in a kettle or pot.
- Pour boiling water into your jar and add borax (¾ cup per cup of boiling water). Stir until dissolved.
- Add food coloring if desired.
- Use a pencil or chopstick to suspend the flowers in the borax solution.
- Place the jar in a safe area and leave it overnight or for 24 hours.
- Remove the flowers from the jar and rinse with water.
- Let them dry on a paper towel before displaying.
