Description
Create stunning blue suncatchers that catch and scatter light beautifully, perfect for any space.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup clear glue
- ½ cup blue food coloring
- 2 cups water
- ¼ cup corn syrup
- Wax paper
- Scissors
- Paintbrush (optional for smooth application)
Instructions
- Prepare Your Work Area: Lay down newspaper or a clean tablecloth to prevent mess. Gather all your supplies to keep them within reach.
- Mix the Ingredients: In a bowl, combine the clear glue, blue food coloring, and corn syrup. Gradually add water to the mixture for a thinner consistency. Stir until well combined.
- Create Shapes: Pour your mixture onto a piece of wax paper. Spread it using a paintbrush for an even layer, or let it naturally spread into desired shapes.
- Let It Set: Allow your suncatchers to dry for 24 hours until they’re completely hard. Once dry, peel off the wax paper carefully.
- Trim and Hang: Use scissors to cut your suncatchers into your desired shapes. Attach strings to hang them in windows or outdoor spaces.
