Ingredients
- Blue crayons (old or new)
- Wax paper
- A pencil sharpener
- An iron (for adults only)
- Scissors
- Optional: other colors of crayons for a mix of designs
Instructions
- Gather your blue crayons and use a pencil sharpener to create shavings.
- Lay out a piece of wax paper on a flat surface.
- Sprinkle the crayon shavings onto one half of the wax paper to form your desired pattern.
- Fold the wax paper in half covering the crayon shavings.
- Place another sheet of wax paper on top to protect your iron.
- Set your iron to a low heat setting without steam, and gently press the iron on top of the wax paper for a few seconds until the crayon shavings melt and fuse.
- Once cooled, carefully open the wax paper and cut out your suncatcher shape.
- Use tape or string to hang your suncatcher in a sunny window.
Notes
Use cookie cutters for fun shapes and consider adding glitter for extra sparkle.
