Ingredients
- Blue crayons (different shades recommended)
- Wax paper
- An iron (adult supervision required)
- Scissors
- A hole punch (optional)
- String or fishing line (for hanging)
- Baking sheet (optional for stability)
Instructions
- Prepare your workspace by laying out your materials on a flat surface and preheating your iron to a low setting without steam.
- Remove the paper from the blue crayons and create crayon shavings using a sharpener or knife.
- Place a sheet of wax paper on your workspace and evenly sprinkle the blue crayon shavings in a desired pattern on one half of the wax paper.
- Fold the wax paper over to cover the shavings.
- Place the folded wax paper between two sheets of baking sheet for stability and gently press the warm iron on top for a few seconds.
- Carefully remove the wax paper and let it cool slightly, then cut out desired shapes and use a hole punch for hanging.
- Thread string or fishing line through the hole and hang it up in a sunny spot.
