Ingredients

  • Blue crayons (various shades)
  • Wax paper
  • Iron
  • Parchment paper
  • Scissors
  • Hole punch (optional)
  • String or ribbon (for hanging)
  • A flat surface for crafting

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Workspace: Lay down newspapers or a protective cloth and gather all materials.
  2. Shaving the Crayons: Remove the wrappers from the crayons and shave them into small pieces.
  3. Creating the Suncatcher: Place wax paper on the flat surface, sprinkle crayon shavings, and create designs.
  4. Melting the Crayons: Cover with another piece of wax paper and parchment, then gently press with the iron on low.
  5. Cutting and Hanging: Remove the top layer of wax paper, cut shapes, and punch holes if desired.
  6. Final Touch: Hang the suncatcher in a sunny window to enjoy the colorful display.

Notes

Experiment with color combinations and use cookie cutters for fun shapes. Alternatively, layer colored cellophane between wax paper.
